Tournament Rules
- Round Robin Games are 7 innings or 45 minutes, whichever comes first. No new inning to start after 40 minutes. Play-off Games are 7 innings or 60 minutes, whichever comes first. No new inning to start after 55 minutes.
- All batters start with a 2 & 2 count at the plate.
- Batting order can consist of 7&3 or 8&4.
- Maximum of 7 runs per inning. Last inning is open.
- If home team is leading at the bottom of the last inning they do not take their last bat.
Home team is decided by a coin toss.
- Bunting is not allowed.
- Runner must cross behind home plate.
- Sliding is allowed on all bases, including behind home plate.
- Infield fly rule is “NOT” in effect.
- Mercy Rule “IS” in effect. 15 or more runs after 3 complete innings or 10 or more runs after 5 complete innings.
- Round Robin games can end in a tie, International rule will apply for all ties in the play-off round.
- Final positioning of teams and rule interpretation lies solely with the tournament committee. No protests allowed!!
- Final scores must be confirmed at the diamond. Only the winning team is to report scores. Make sure to report scores to the community center immediately after each game.
- Only one base will be given on an overthrow, this base must be earned.
- PLEASE DO NOT URINATE ON, NEAR OR AROUND THE SCHOOLS, DIAMONDS ETC. If anyone is caught urinating the other team may call them on it. The penalty will be a “FREE INNING” 7 runs scored against the offending team. (YUCK!!!)
- Umpire decisions are FINAL!!!!
- All other NSA Canada rules will apply!
NO PARKING VEHICLES ON ANY FIELDS.
ANY TEAM CAUGHT PARKING ON THE FIELDS
WILL FORFEIT THEIR GAMES!
